When the award began being handed out, it was named for Kevin Goldsmith and Lucas Whitman, two good friends who decided they would transfer to SMCC to pursue their football opportunties. In 2006, the award was adjusted to honor our school's varsity football team and it's coach, Craig Trychel, as they continue to amaze by finding even more ways to make themselves look like whiny jerks. With the firing of head football coach Craig Trychel, the football team has been absolved of their stupidity, and the award has reverted back to its original name.
